Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving Manager to manage all warehouse logistics and shipping/receiving operations for our Stratford based client. This hands-on role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, organizing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience and a strong understanding of supply chain processes.

This is a direct placement opportunity with a starting salary up to $28/hr!

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload company and third-party trucks efficiently and safely
• Pull, stage, and prepare outbound shipments
• Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery routes
• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Tag, store, and track inventory items accurately
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
• Ensure product availability and accuracy through proper stock management
• Schedule and coordinate third-party shipments and deliveries
• Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve shipping-related issues
• Maintain accurate records, including bills of lading, packing slips, receipts, and shipment logs
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, or damaged goods
• Implement corrective actions and monitor for recurring issues

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse operations role
• Forklift certification/experience required
• Box truck driving experience is a plus
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficient in inventory management systems and related technology
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to lift and move heavy items- up to 50lbs
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
