Multimedia Video Producer (Community + Education)

Empowering Communities Through the Power of Film

Overview

SR1, a nationally recognized nonprofit leader in education, health, and agriculture, is seeking a talented Multimedia Video Producer (Community + Education) to bring our mission to life through compelling video storytelling. This role will lead the creation of documentaries, educational and health series, and community news stories that capture the heart of our impact.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Editing

  • Film and edit high-quality video content showcasing SR1 programs, student success, agricultural innovation, and public health outreach.
  • Produce short- and long-form videos, including educational lessons, health awareness series, and human-interest documentaries.
  • Create content for digital platforms including YouTube, social media, and SR1’s website.

Story Development

  • Plan and conduct interviews with students, educators, families, farmers, and community leaders.
  • Craft storyboards and scripts that align with SR1’s mission of community empowerment and equity.
  • Weave research and data into emotionally engaging and impactful narratives.

Community Coverage & Content Management

  • Capture footage from community events, school activities, farm initiatives, and special programs.
  • Maintain SR1’s digital video archive and media asset library.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure stories reflect accurate and inclusive messaging.

Support Fundraising & Outreach

  • Assist with donor engagement and grant campaigns through video testimonials, impact stories, and branded visuals.
  • Contribute content to appeals, reports, and presentations for public and private stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional experience in video production, editing, or filmmaking.

• Strong portfolio of original work is required (please include links in your application).

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable video editing software.

• Strong camera, lighting, and sound setup skills.

• Experience conducting interviews and building stories around community voices.

• Demonstrated ability to work in and with underserved, rural, or multicultural communities.

• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Bonus Skills (Preferred, Not Required)

• Motion graphics, animation, or visual effects experience.

• YouTube content strategy and analytics familiarity.

• Spanish or multilingual abilities.

• Background in education, health, or nonprofit sectors.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting Salary: $50,000–$60,000, based on experience.

Work Environment

• Onsite structure with in-person community visits and occasional travel.
