Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Orangeburg, SC 29118. This is a 2–3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position Name: Phlebotomist I

Pay rate: $18/hr -$19/hr

Location: Orangeburg, SC 29118

Duration: 2-month contract to Hire

Shift: 7AM-4PM- Mon-Fri

Job Description:

• Perform venipunctures using straight and butterfly needles; collect and store blood, urine, and fecal specimens as per protocols.
• Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens for transport; maintain sample integrity with correct temperature storage.
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify accuracy against orders.
• Update patient information, document maintenance, and perform decontamination tasks.
• Explain procedures to patients clearly and courteously; respond to inquiries and relay lab results when needed.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP safety regulations; attend annual departmental training.

Qualifications:

• Valid state Phlebotomy certification (where required)
• 6+ months of experience in a high-volume lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
