We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer that uses strong machine design fundamentals and integrate them with out-of-the-box, creative ideas to create unique automated machines that meet or exceed our customer and internal specifications. What You’ll Do:

  • Develop innovative and advanced machine concepts based on customer and internal specifications.
  • Design, using SolidWorks or equivalent software, complete layout of machine including detailed drawings of all components.
  • Evaluate and specify materials and finishes on manufactured parts.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to research, quote and purchase integrated machine components.
  • Work closely with project managers to monitor project schedules and assist with adjustments as needed.
  • Work quickly and collaboratively to solve machine design challenges throughout the project lifecycle, using best practices and common design elements.
  • Participate and/or lead internal and customer design reviews and status updates
  • Create detail drawings, assembly drawings, bill of materials and organize release packages.
  • Support machine building process from assembly, de-bug and acceptance testing and through potential on-site customer installations with start-up support and customer training

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and minimum of 3 years of industry experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of machine design and mechanical components as it relates to factory automation.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D CAD software, experienced in working with SolidWorks preferred.
  • Strong decision making and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with a project team and collaborate with other departments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to support projects, up to 10%.
