Job Title: Customs Analyst (Import/Export Analyst)
Location: New York, NY 10013 (On Site)
Pay Range: $40 - 45/hour on W2 (depending on experience/interview)

Shift: Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Job Description:
A Customs Analyst job description typically involves ensuring compliance with customs regulations and requirements related to import and export activities, providing guidance to internal teams, and analyzing import/export data.
They are responsible for reviewing and monitoring documentation, conducting audits, and identifying areas for process improvement.
Will be sitting in Logistics but reporting to the TAX Manager. At least 6 months. Will be working with Tariffs.
CT products were not taxed this way before.
Looking for someone with experience working with Canada.
Netsuite experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure compliance with customs regulations, laws, and procedures related to import and export.
Review and monitor import/export documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on customs-related matters, including import/export procedures, documentation, and compliance issues.
Analyze import/export data to identify risks, opportunities for cost savings, and trends.
Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
Identify and make recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, external brokers, and customers.
Maintain organized records of all customs transactions and files.
Typical Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in a customs and/or export control-related capacity.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance procedures.
Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customs management software.
Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
