What you will be Doing:

In this Field Application Engineer role for software systems, you will require a high level of technical product expertise to achieve desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of the assigned product lines to support product management, sales, and other functional groups to execute the strategy across Delta businesses, partners and customers.

Key Account Support

• Technical liaison between the customer and responsible design team
• Support sales team efforts by providing software technical expertise
• Maintain expertise in standard and customized products
• Support software user questions during regular business hours (help desk)
• Convert customer wants into actionable software development requirements

Training / Services Support

• Pre-Sales training and support
• Post-Sales training and support
• Product documentation owner for training purposes

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Strong communication and organizational skills:
2. Ability to understand a customer needs and to probe for answers and then determine a solution and advocate that solution to the customer.
3. Ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders and make sure all deliverables are met.
4. Build and Maintain relationship with key OEM/ODM customers to engage early design in jobs.
5. Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge: Collaborating with sales team, engineers, and product managers for obtaining accurate information of application usage, system operations, and product management.
6. Working closely with local team and overseas team to track project status.
7. Review and test new software releases to ensure they meet the customers’ requirements.
8. Capacity to identify risks and raise issues to relevant stakeholders
9. Quick learner and flexible to adopt of company working culture and processes

What we require (Skills and Background):

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a combination of equivalent of education and experience
• 3+ year’s professional experience with system level software design and development
• Fluent with SQL, C#, Angular, Linux (RedHat and Ubuntu) and Networking

Preferred:

• Experience with Telecom power systems is a plus
• Drive to continuously increase technical abilities and expand technical knowledge
• Effective verbal and presentation skills and knowledge of using Microsoft Office products
• Detailed and results oriented with a strong sense of initiative in tackling tasks
• Ability to manage multiple projects and activities at one time
• Strong commitment to teamwork and the success of others
• Highly motivated self-starter with time management skills
• Ability to adapt to Delta’s unique and dynamic culture
• Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus
• Able to travel out of state and country
• <5% Travel required with overnight stays
