Location: Lacey, WA 98516

Position: School Psychologist

Pay Rate: $74 - 79/hr. Based on Experience

Duration: 18 weeks

Schedule: Day Shift, 5x7.5-Hour (07:00 - 15:00), 37.5 hours/week

On-Site Only – No Virtual or Hybrid Options

Job Summary:

North Thurston Public Schools is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive support to students in both elementary and preschool settings. This role involves conducting assessments, developing interventions, and collaborating with educators and families to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological and educational assessments to evaluate student needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
• Provide consultation and training for teachers and staff on student behavioral and learning challenges.
• Support students with social-emotional development and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with families, school personnel, and external agencies to create supportive learning environments.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications:

• Required: Valid School Psychologist License
• Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in School Psychology
• Experience working with elementary and preschool studentsStrong assessment, counseling, and collaboration skills.
