We are seeking 10+ years of relevant experience with:

• Solid background/working experience with MTA and/or Baltimore City-based projects
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, preferably including multiple firms
• Experiencing developing and managing work order scope/schedule/budget

Responsibilities:  Co-author public C&CE strategy; coordinate public engagement with NEPA and technical activities; lead PMC contract management; and manage Speaker’s Bureau. Co-develop and execute the Red Line Community Engagement Plan; oversee, coordinate, and manage all Red Line outreach and engagement consultant activities in coordination with the Community Engagement Manager, MTA-OCM, and the technical team; coordinate public-facing community engagement materials; coordinate in-reach materials (i.e., The Secretary’s Office and The Governor’s Office briefing decks); strategic advisor and liaison with technical team’s developer and stakeholder outreach. Assist the director with overseeing and tracking special projects.

Administrative Support:

• Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including meeting minutes, project plans, and progress reports.
• Provide quality assurance/quality control support on documents and deliverables
• Assist with tracking documents and deliverables through the review process

Project Coordination:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating community engagement projects and events.
• Track project timelines, tasks, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Prepare briefs, talking points, and speeches as directed
• Communicate project updates, event details, and community outreach initiatives to stakeholders.
• Prepare summaries and presentations for management and stakeholders

Event Support:

• Provide on-site support during community events, including setup, coordination of volunteers, attendee registration, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure events comply with safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.

Community Outreach and Support:

• Assist in developing outreach materials such as newsletters, flyers, and social media posts.
• Support outreach campaigns to promote transit services, initiatives, and community engagement opportunities.
• Budget and Financial Administration:
• Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and processing invoices.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in budget planning for community engagement projects.

• Communication Skills:  Clear and effective communication with diverse stakeholders, including community members, agency staff, and contractors.
• Attention to Detail:  Ensure accuracy in documentation, event planning, and financial records.
• Flexibility and Adaptability:  Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to unexpected challenges during project execution.

Tools and Technologies:

• Office Productivity Software:  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document creation, spreadsheet management, and email communication.
• Event Management Tools:  Experience with event planning software or platforms for registration, attendee management, and logistics coordination.

Professional Development :

• Community Engagement Strategies:  Stay informed about best community engagement, public relations, and outreach practices.
• Project Management Skills:  Consider training or certifications in project management to enhance your skills in planning, executing, and monitoring community engagement projects.
