🏥 Pride Health is Hiring – Phlebotomist I (Contract Opportunity)

Support our client’s medical facility in Sumterville, FL 33585! This is a 5+ month contract with the possibility of contract-to-hire , offering an excellent opportunity to begin your career with a top-tier healthcare organization.

📌 Job Title:

Phlebotomist I (Minimum 1 year of experience required in Pediatrics and Geriatrics)

📍 Location:

Sumterville, FL 33585

💵 Pay Rate:

$17.00 – $19.00 per hour on W2 (Strictly based on experience and educational qualifications)

🕒 Shift:

Monday through Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Rotational Saturdays required

🧪 Job Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during collection
• Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms
• Follow procedures for waived testing to ensure accurate, reliable results
• Properly handle and store specimens to maintain integrity
• Transport and dispose of specimens according to protocol
• Perform EKGs as directed by healthcare providers
• Apply electrodes and monitor patients during procedures
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens sent to external laboratories

✅ Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws
• Flexible availability – may include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
• Strong customer service focus and communication skills
• Open to change and learning new systems/processes

🎓 Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic training
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
• Must have reliable transportation
