Job Description

Beacon Hill Legal is working with a leading law firm in downtown St. Louis who is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join our Litigation Assistant Team. In this role, you will support litigation attorneys by managing legal documents, preparing filings, assisting with case preparation, and handling administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Draft and format legal documents (e.g., pleadings, motions, discovery) and assist with document management.
• Prepare and file court documents, ensuring deadlines and procedural rules are met.
• Transcribe dictation, handle correspondence, and maintain case files (both electronic and paper).
• Schedule meetings, depositions, and hearings for attorneys.
• Assist with time entry and billing, and communicate effectively with clients and external contacts.
• Support a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

• Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Experience : Minimum 2 years of legal assistant or legal secretarial experience, preferably in litigation.
• Skills :
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Excellent typing speed (70+ WPM), transcription, and document formatting skills.
  • Strong grammar, proofreading, and communication abilities.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Hours : 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Compensation : Competitive salary based on experience.
