Summary

The Legal Pricing and Project Manager supports partners and business professionals across the firm in developing profitable, sustainable and relevant pricing solutions on our fast-paced and collaborative Pricing & Legal Project Management team!

• Support Partners with pricing proposals, reporting and analysis, and understanding of profitability measures.

• Effectively communicate with Partners, billing and collections, marketing, and legal project management teams in regard to topics impacted by pricing decisions.

• Provide dedicated pricing oversight and guidance for significant firm clients.

• Complete annual rate negotiations process for all clients efficiently, limiting billing disruptions to a minimum and meeting the firm’s financial objectives for revenue growth.

• Ensure timely response to requests for RFP’s, write downs or write offs and budget development and reporting.

• Maintain alternative fee arrangement "AFA" documentation; proactively monitor large AFA performance and respond to senior leadership requests for information on results of AFAs.

• Implement process improvements, better pricing tools and reporting to support partners and increase profitability.

• Develop ad hoc and routine leadership facing reports that track and explain various profitability metrics.

• Support cross functional teams on projects that impact finance or pricing such as IT implementations, process changes or organization changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or similar; MBA preferred.

• At least 5 years' experience in positions requiring strong financial analysis, pricing, budgeting or legal project management.

• Law firm or professional services background with international exposure highly preferred.

• High level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point.

• Strong working knowledge of 3E or other law firm accounting software preferred

• Ability to take an assignment from inception to completion with minimal supervision or by following broad guidelines.

• Ability to apply effective independent judgment; ability to perceive and analyze problems and to develop responsive solutions.

• Ability to analyze historical data in order to identify factors resulting in pricing structures that are profitable to the Firm.

• Talent for creating client satisfaction; demonstrated ability to focus on the client value in all work.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external client relationships. Must possess ability to communicate credibly and easily with all levels of attorneys and staff.

• Ability to exchange information and to present ideas, report facts and other information clearly and concisely.

• Strong technical aptitude and understanding, including ability to quickly learn new applications.

• Ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.

Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.

San Francisco salary range: $128,000.00-$179,000.00, plus bonus

Los Angeles salary range: $122,000.00-$169,000.00, plus bonus

Denver salary range: $114,000.00-$159,000.00, plus bonus
