Role : General Manager – Home Services
Location : Long Island, NY (on-site daily)
Compensation : $150,000 – $200,000 base + performance bonus + equity opportunity
About the RoleThis is a rare opportunity to step in as the operational leader of a $10M+ home services business in Long Island, NY—part of a growing roll-up platform. The business is transitioning from a traditional, family-run model to a professionalized, scalable operation. You’ll own day-to-day operations, professionalize systems, and lead a team through a period of growth, change, and opportunity.
You’ll partner closely with the founder, taking ownership of the P&L, operations, and execution—while helping lay the groundwork for a future sale to a strategic or financial buyer.
Key Responsibilities• Operations & Execution : Lead day-to-day operations for home services, overseeing a team of managers and field staff.
• Business Transformation : Drive the shift from legacy, manual processes to systematized, scalable operations—implementing systems like ServiceTitan and creating reporting, dashboards, and processes from scratch.
• Financial Management : Own the P&L, track job-level margins, profitability by service line, and identify areas for improvement.
• Leadership & Change Management : Lead through change, coach managers, and create career growth opportunities for the team as the business scales.
• Growth Partnership : Act as the founder’s right hand—collaborating on growth strategies, acquisition integration, and operational efficiencies to fuel expansion.
Qualifications• Proven leadership experience running day-to-day operations in a services, construction, or home services business.
• Experience leading teams through business transformation, process improvement, and system implementations.
• Comfort with hands-on execution while also thinking strategically.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to drive accountability and cultural alignment.
• Military leadership or post-special operations experience is highly preferred but not required.
• Home services, construction, or related industry experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits• $150,000 – $200,000 base salary
