Position: Manufacturing Estimator

Pay Range: $35.00 – $40.00/hour

Location: Clackamas, OR

Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM | Fri, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM

A well-established precision machining company in Clackamas is seeking a skilled Estimator to support quoting and planning for complex, custom-machined components. This is a great opportunity to grow with a close-knit team in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret prints accurately, and a customer-first mindset.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare accurate estimates for low to high-volume machined parts using internal ERP systems
• Interpret technical drawings and customer specifications to plan out manufacturing processes
• Evaluate labor, materials, and timeline requirements for quoting
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to gather pricing and lead time information
• Identify potential production challenges and suggest cost-effective solutions
• Assist in job planning and process improvements, especially as production needs evolve
• Support decision-making during production if issues arise with cost or process deviations
• Present final estimates to leadership and help track actual job costs

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong math and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Deep understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and machining practices
• Solid organizational skills and ability to meet shifting deadlines
• Experience estimating in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment is a big plus
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and Excel
• Adaptability and a willingness to contribute across different parts of the operation
