Job Description

Position: Document Control Specialist

Location: Tampa, FL

Temp to Hire

Pay: $20-23/hr

Hours: 7:45-4:45 pm M-F onsite

Primary Purpose

The Document Control Specialist is primarily responsible to manage company documents while ensuring their accuracy, quality, and integrity. This position requires a strong degree of organizational skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Store, manage, and track company documents
  • Scan, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company’s document lifecycle procedures.
  • Archive inactive records in accordance with records retention schedule
  • Control retrieval of documents
  • Process requests for information and maintain tracking log
  • Assist Project Managers develop and maintain documents. i.e. minutes, drawings, specifications, approvals and related items
  • Responsible for training employees on records management procedures and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Clear, effective communication skills both verbal and written required
  • Familiar with technology related in office environment
  • Solid work ethic, trustworthy, dependable, energetic, and ability to pick things up quickly
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office, document control software, FTP clients, SharePoint and ability to utilize scanner. Prioritize, multitask, and troubleshoot

Required Education and Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience with Document Control required, manufacturing environment experience preferred or
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work independently with a strong level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Experience providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and document control software preferred
