Director of Operations (E-Commerce Fulfillment)

Company Overview

Our client is a rapidly growing, high-energy consumer brand known for their insulated can and bottle coolers that keep drinks colder, longer. What started as a breakout hit online has expanded into a full product line available through both e-commerce and retail. They also offer custom-branded options for businesses, universities, and pro sports organizations. With fulfillment fully in-house and demand growing fast, they’re looking for a strong operational leader to drive the next phase of scale.

Position Overview

As Director of Operations, you’ll lead all warehouse and fulfillment operations, overseeing everything from inventory flow to shipping performance. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands high-volume fulfillment, and knows how to build structure without slowing down momentum. Experience in e-commerce is key, and a background in 3PL or managing large teams in complex operations environments (think Amazon-style scale) is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse operations across receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns
• Develop and execute strategies to improve throughput, accuracy, and efficiency
• Optimize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and identify opportunities for automation or system upgrades
• Build, coach, and lead a warehouse team focused on performance, accountability, and safety
• Own KPIs and use data to drive performance improvements
• Partner with leadership to design a performance-based bonus structure that drives team engagement and results

What We're Looking For

• Proven success leading high-volume fulfillment or warehouse operations (e-commerce strongly preferred)
• Experience managing or partnering with third-party logistics (3PL) providers or working in a 3PL environment
• Strong command of inventory control, order flow, and warehouse systems
• A hands-on leader who builds trust, sets clear expectations, and leads from the front
• Thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and loves solving operational challenges
