Job Description

360 Talent Avenue is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Admissions for a well-established private Jewish school in Brooklyn, NY. This position plays a vital role in overseeing the student recruitment and enrollment process, ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for prospective families. The Director of Admissions will manage outreach efforts, guide families through the application process, coordinate assessments and interviews, and work closely with school leadership to meet enrollment goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the student recruitment, enrollment, and admission program from start to finish.
  • Manage the entire admissions process, from inquiry to enrollment and registration.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to assess and ensure effective enrollment and recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain real-time communication with principals and division leaders regarding applicant and enrollment data.
  • Coordinate with the business office on tuition assistance when necessary.
  • Build strategic partnerships with feeder schools and community organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for both prospective and enrolled families.
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop recruiting materials and promotional efforts.
  • Develop a team of parent ambassadors to assist with recruitment within the school community.
  • Track and analyze admissions data and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with school staff and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth admissions process and student integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a senior admissions role, preferably in a large, independent day school.
  • Strong understanding of and alignment with the school’s mission and values.
  • Proficiency in Hebrew is preferred.
  • Background in education or education administration is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams and work cross-functionally.
  • Experience with marketing and public relations strategies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and CRM systems.
