Customer Success Associate

Our government partners are the major focus of Marketplace.city. Our model supports them through sourcing, evaluation and procurement of technology and other products and services. As government’s needs become complex while their resources become constrained, Marketplace.city’s data and process have become more critical for meeting residents' needs. 

Marketplace.city seeks a driven individual to support our growing customer account portfolio and ensure our user’s needs are met across both of our product suites. The primary focus of this role involves supporting our largest customers within our end-to-end procurement management mode (Clearbox Procure). Alongside the Customer Success Director, you will work with government leadership teams to understand their technology priorities, guide them through our Clearbox Procure process, and ensure they are getting all the information they need at each step. You will also have the opportunity to support a wide array of additional government clients that subscribe to our data subscription service, Clearbox Source.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, process and data-driven, inquisitive about technology and new topic areas, comfortable with new topics everyday and excited to build relationships with our government partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support end-to-end Clearbox procurements for Clearbox Procure customers.
• Support creation and management of Clearbox documents and processes throughout the purchasing lifecycle.
• Presentation of research, conclusions and outputs of Clearbox Process.
• Data collection and analysis of various topic areas where our clients are purchasing.
• Work with customers to answer questions, share best practices, perform user training and clear roadblocks to success.
• Assist with managing vendor inquiries, questions, and responses. 
• Work with Account Managers to understand and determine data needs for each customer.
• Create and maintain Market Landscapes of technology areas based on customer needs.
• Onboarding new Accounts and Users to Marketplace.city Clearbox Platform.
• Work with the Product Team on upgrades, new features and automation related to both Clearbox Source and Clearbox Procure.
• Work with Marketing and Business Development teams create and manage content for onboarding new cities and promoting best practices, success stories, case studies and capturing testimonials of our impact on our government partners.
• Anything else you want to do that helps us grow Marketplace.city!

Position Requirements:

• Comfortable working with and organizing data.
• Excellent presentation, writing and speaking skills.
• High organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Process focus and the ability to push multiple projects at one time.
• Energized by trying new things and getting things done.
• Desire to build or expand accounts and process.
• Curiosity for the future of cities and the use of technology to deliver a better quality of life.
• Curiosity for exploring AI and LLMs against specific use cases.
• Experience in customer success, account management or market research a plus.
• Experience working with or in state and local government is a plus.
• Knowledge of the technology industry or procurement processes is a plus.
• Position located in Chicago, IL with potentially some travel.
• Position is office-first with opportunity for hybrid (~80% in office after initial onboarding).
