We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent who is eager to grow within the company and is on a clear path toward advancing into a Superintendent role.

JOB SUMMARY:

The assistant superintendent implements all field activities for self-performed work, subcontractor work, and field logistical items by coordinating and managing Reaume Richardson field staff and project subcontractors from project initiation through completion. This role acts as a leader in the field, responsible and accountable for the quality, safety, and schedule of the construction site. The Superintendent must professionally represent Reaume Richardson field operations as the primary interface with the owner and design team.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Requirements

Minimum of 3+ years of jobsite management experience

Experience working in occupied building and during night hours

Ability to visualize the entire project and anticipate constructability issues and embed solutions in the construction plans and schedules

General understanding and experience with construction trades

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operation of construction projects
  • Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
  • Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
  • Manage subcontractors and construction site organization

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in construction area Strong project management and communications skills
  • Ability to read construction documents
  • Familiarity with regulatory construction standards

Preferences

Safety Trained Supervisor Certification

Carpenters Superintendent-in-Training Certification

Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project and Bluebeam
