Job Description

Job Summary

Homeland, in partnership with a respected community hospital, is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join their team. We're looking for a highly motivated, patient-centered professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced clinical environment.

In this role, the pharmacist will be instrumental in optimizing medication therapy through the use of computerized systems and evidence-based practices. Daily responsibilities include working closely with multidisciplinary teams—nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals—to promote the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medications. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist will also provide patient education, clinical consultations, and ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence to support seamless care delivery.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, team-oriented individual with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. A warm, approachable nature and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to patients, families, and colleagues are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pharmacy services and provide clinical leadership in alignment with the hospital’s mission, values, and quality standards
  • Review, verify, and process medication orders using established protocols and computerized systems
  • Offer expert consultation and education to patients and clinical staff regarding appropriate medication use
  • Perform clinical functions that support pharmacy programs and meet regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, including data collection and process evaluation
  • Support and guide pharmacy technicians and clerical staff to optimize workflow and maintain compliance
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Clinical Pharmacist or Director of Pharmacy
  • Assist with interviewing, training, and onboarding of new pharmacy department staff
  • Provide age-appropriate pharmaceutical care across a range of patient populations
  • Stay current with clinical knowledge through continuing education, professional organizations, and relevant training

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
  • Must hold or be eligible for a Washington State Pharmacist License
  • At least two (2) years of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred; open to considering new graduates
  • PGY1 or PGY2 residency training highly encouraged
  • Proven ability to provide age-appropriate pharmaceutical care across diverse patient populations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse and team-oriented environment

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary with bonus potential, a sign-on bonus of $10,000–$20,000 based on experience, and up to $10,000 in relocation assistance if needed. Employees enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with an HSA option, a 401(k) with company contributions, generous paid time off (PTO), and additional benefits such as life insurance, disability coverage, and accident and critical illness insurance.

Summary

If you’re passionate about high-quality patient care and collaborative clinical practice, we’d love to hear from you.
