Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician - General Practitioner 

Education Requirements : MA, PsyD, PhD

Licensure : Must be a Licensed or License eligible LPC/LCSW/LMFT (or similar) in the State of Colorado. 

Nielsen Psychological Services is grounded in the Behaviorism approach, with a deep commitment to evidence-based care and practical solutions. All clinicians are expected to work within this framework.

We are seeking licensed entrepreneurial clinicians looking to carve out their own speciality under the guidance of Dr. Nielsen, who boasts 28-years of experience in crisis response, violence prevention, and trauma care.

The clinician will provide therapy services to adults and/or adolescents (13+). This is a contracted full-time or part-time role in an insurance-based practice. Our office will provide access to services for scheduling, billing, and administrative needs. There is office space available for in-person sessions on a part-time basis, clients will be seen largely via telehealth.

Credentialing:

The therapist must be credentialed or eligible to be credentialed with major insurance panels. Credentialing support is provided by our office staff, though the process can take up to 2 months and must be completed prior to seeing clients.

Compensation:

Session-based percentage rate, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications : 

• Must be a licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Colorado. (No interns please) 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; familiarity with other languages is a plus.
• Strong cultural competency 
• Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnosis, terminology, and medical record charting basics. 
• Familiarity with CBT/DBT/ACT, and other behaviorally-based treatment modalities
• Experience or comfort working with trauma, suicidal ideation, depression, and anxiety

Key Client-Facing Responsibilities:  

• Conduct individual therapy sessions (Preferred, but not required - interest or experience with couples therapy) 
• Complete screening instruments and assessments as necessary
• Develop treatment planning and therapy notes in a timely manner in the provided electronic medical record
• Identify psychological, emotional or behavioral issues
• Diagnose psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders
• Monitor client progress through regular meetings or sessions

Company Expectations: 

• Weekly all-hands meetings to discuss high-touch cases and organizational updates (virtual or in-person) 
• Participate in monthly one-on-one meetings with Dr. Nielsen (in-person)

Requirements:

• Provide your own laptop, cell phone, and reliable transportation
