Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automated security policies within the Azure environment. You will play a key part in securing Azure Landing Zones, optimizing cloud costs, and driving automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Automation:
• • Design, implement, and manage automated security policies using Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
• • Secure Azure Landing Zones to ensure a robust and compliant cloud foundation.
• Infrastructure-as-Code:
• • Develop and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar platforms, prioritizing automation over manual processes.
• Cost Optimization:
• • Implement cost management and governance policies to prevent overspending, leveraging tools like Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor.
• Team Collaboration:
• • Work collaboratively within an existing Azure team to continuously improve and secure our cloud environments.
• • Share best practices and contribute to team knowledge on security, automation, and cost optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing automated security policies in Azure.
• Hands-on expertise in securing Azure Landing Zones.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Strong focus on platform automation to reduce manual intervention and improve process consistency.
• Experience in cost optimization, including the implementation of cost management and governance strategies in Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of an established Azure team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.
