Job Description

Elsewhere Partners is seeking an intelligent, motivated Analyst with a strong interest in private equity and enterprise software to drive the firm’s investment sourcing efforts. Based in Austin, TX, this role focuses on researching, identifying, and engaging high-quality software companies to create investment opportunities. The position begins mid-2025.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thematic and sector-focused research to identify software companies with strong potential as investment opportunities for Elsewhere
• Coordinate tactics for engaging with prospects and lead strategic outreach efforts on behalf of the firm
• Collaborate with senior investment team members in creating thesis-driven analyses of specific markets, and lead the subsequent prospect identification, outreach, and relationship development efforts 
• Provide market and financial diligence support for live opportunities, including overview of key market trends and competitive analysis
• Manage Elsewhere’s investment sourcing technology stack, including CRM and research databases
• Ensure effective and efficient reporting on key pipeline metrics

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of professional or relevant internship experience in investing/finance, private equity, venture capital, consulting, marketing, or software sales.
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record.
• Interest in or knowledge of the enterprise software industry.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and research skills.
• Experience with tools like Excel, Salesforce, and BI software (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
• Self-starter capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborative team player who thrives on shared success.
