Job Description

The Alaska Jewish campus is a busy non-profit organization that is dedicated to making the richness of Jewish Heritage and Culture a relevant and meaningful experience to every Alaskan regardless of background or affiliation. The goal of our center is to bridge cultural gaps and create a deep sense of community and a home away from home for all Alaskans.

 

We have an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, highly organized, reliable, and professional Administrative Assistant to support our team and contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

· Handle and coordinate active calendars

· Schedule and confirm meetings

· Ensure file organization based on office protocol

· Assisting with email correspondence and communications

· Keeping the office clean and organized

· Assisting with coordinating events

· Updating data bases/data entry

· Answering a multi-line phone & other general administrative duties

· Running errands

· Working with community members

· Provide support around office as needed

We are looking for a candidate who is:

· Highly organized

· A proactive self-starter

· Time efficient and reliable

· Able to type at least 40 wpm

· Willing to learn new skills and programs

· Able to efficiently multitask

· Not afraid to ask questions!

Qualifications:

· Administrative experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

· Ability to multitask and efficiently prioritize tasks

· Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
